China Glaze The Glam Finale, Holiday 2017 Collection - My Picks

For my last post of the year, I have my picks from the Glam Finale Collection by China Glaze.  There are 12 polishes in this collection in a mix of formulas including glitters, shimmers, metallics and matte.  Here are my picks:

Sparkle On is a red jelly base with multisized red and hex glitter.

Big Hair & Bubbly is a mix of small and micro hex gold glitter in a clear base.  It can be used as a topper, but builds up to full coverage nicely.

Don't Be a Snow-flake is a milky jelly base with small silver glitter and holographic hex glitter.  This is one of my favorites.  I love the look of this one.

Queen Of Sequins is a dark purple base with blue and copper/pink shimmer.

New Year, New Boo is a royal blue shimmer.

Love OPI XOXO Holiday 2017 Collection - My Picks

The Love OPI XOXO Holiday Collection consists of 12 limited edition shades in crème, shimmer, pearlescent shimmer, metallic, jelly and flakie formulas.  Here are my picks:

Coalmates is a dark charcoal with deep blue and holographic shimmer.  I'm wearing this one right now and it's a stunner!

Ornament to be Together is a silver foil with holographic shimmer.  I almost passed on this one.  Really, who needs another silver polish?  But, the holographic shimmer makes this one stand out.  The holographic is much more visible in person.  I'm really glad that I chose it!

 Top the Package with a Beau is black with metallic gold flakies. This one is really unique to my collection. I like it even more that I thought I would!

Zoya Party Girls Holiday 2017 Collection - My Picks

It's holiday time!!!  I always get excited to see the new holiday collections.  This year Zoya released the Party Girls Collection.  It consists of 12 polishes in crème, shimmer, metallic and peal formulas.  Here are my picks:

Isadora is a deep wine with a purple/blue shimmer shift.  It has a great formula and applied well.

Tawny - is a copper shimmer in a jelly formula.  This one started off extremely sheer.  It's a 3 coater, but it's lovely.

Picture Polish Dragon

Dragon is one of the shades released for Fall of 2017.  It's a beautiful maroon in a jelly formula with the signature scatter holograph glitter that Picture Polish is famous for.

Pretty Woman - Wine With Ice, Garcon

Pretty Woman is a new brand for me and I'm quite pleased with it.  I received this polish in my October ipsy bag.  (If you don't know what ipsy is, you should!)  It has a great formula and the look of a gel polish.  #PrettyWomanNYC

Icelandic Half Moon Manicure

For this Mani I used two shades from OPI's Iceland Collection which was released this fall.  I love this color combination!

China Glaze Street Regal Collection Fall 2017 - My Picks

The Street Regal Collection from China glaze is a collection of 12 polishes in crème, shimmer, metallic and matte finishes.  Here are my picks:

Baroque Jungle is an emerald shimmer.

Glamcore is a deep eggplant shimmer.

Royal Pain In The Ascot is a deep garnet shimmer.  (The name of this one completely amuses me!)

OPI Iceland Collection Fall 2017 - My Picks

The Iceland Collection consists of 12 polishes in mostly crème formulas, 2 shimmers and a frost.  Here are my picks:

Check Out the Old Geysirs is a dusty blue with a slight bit of shimmer.

 One Heckla of a Color! is a beautiful plum crème.  It's a bit darker in person.  Love!

This Isn't Greenland is one that I almost passed on but I'm glad that I didn't.  I don't have anything like it in my collection.  It's a dusty Avocado green.   

That's What Friends Are Thor is rich yummy Chocolate brown crème.

Turn On the Northern Lights! is a deep ink blue (much darker than I could get in pictures) with amazing red, gold, pink and purple shimmer shift.

Deborah Lippmann Gel Lab Pro - Love Hangover

I've heard a lot of buzz about this polish, so I was anxious to try it.  It's from Deborah Lippmann's Fall 2016 After Midnight Collection and comes in the Gel Lab Pro Color formula.

Love Hangover is a dusty purple crème.  It wore extremely well and I loved the shade.  This is the first time that I've tried the Gel Lab Pro Color formula.  I used the Gel Lab Pro base and top coat with is as well and I was very pleased with the results. 

China Glaze Seas and Greetings Holiday 2016 Collection - My Picks

The Seas and Greetings collection features 12 polishes in crème, metallic, glitter and matte formulas.  China glaze surprised us all this holiday with a collection that seems more fitting for spring and summer.  It's inspired by the oceanside with beachy shades, but they pull in the holiday theme with the polish names.  This is the first time that I haven't been head over heels for a holiday collection from China Glaze.  Oh well, maybe next year.

Eat, Pink, Be Merry is a light pink with pink shimmer in a crelly formula.

Sand In My Mistletoes is a light nude with a peach tone in a crème formula.

Zoya Urban Grunge Collection - My Picks

Zoya's Fall 2016 Urban Grunge Collection consists of 12 polishes in crème, metallic, shimmer and scatter holographic formulas.  Here are my picks:

Alicia is a silver scatter holographic polish with a golden flash.  Yes, silver holographics are nothing new, but the splash of gold makes this one special.

Finley is a purple scatter holographic in a Jelly formula.  Yes, Jelly! I love Jellies and this one is absolutely beautiful.

Merida is an emerald green scatter holographic in a Jelly Formula.  This polish was the most anticipated polish of the season for me.  I've been waiting for a green scatter holographic like this one forever and now I have it.  I cannot wait to wear this during the Christmas season.  Thank you Zoya!!!

Tara is a deep plum in a crème formula.  This was a surprise hit for me.  It was also a hit for others as well.  I was amazed by all of the comments that I received while wearing this polish.  Everyone wanted to know what it was and where they could get it.  Another winner for Zoya.

China Glaze Rebel Collection Fall 2016 - My Picks

China Glaze released their Rebel Collection for Fall 2016.  It consists of 12 polishes in a mix of formulas including crème, shimmer, glitter, metallic and matte.  Here are my picks.

Heroine Chic is a charcoal brown metallic polish with red/pink-ish shimmer.  I liked this one more than I thought I would.  It's a great shade for fall and it's unique to my collection. 

 

Purple Fiction is a bright, somewhat metallic purple with pink shimmer.  LOVE!

 

Teen Spirit is a dark blackened purple with blue and purple shimmer. It's an extremely close dupe to the ever popular "Cosmo With A Twist" that OPI released last year.  I missed out on that one so I was thrilled to see this!

 

 

Combat Blue-ts is a royal blue matte.  As with all matte polishes, this dries extremely fast. It took a few attempts for me to get it somewhat smooth looking.

OPI Washington DC Collection Fall 2016 - My Picks

The Washington DC Collection consists of 15 shades, 3 of which are limited edition.  I found that many of the shades were dups of past polishes that I already have in my collection so, I only chose a handful.  Here are my picks:

Pale To The Chief is a pale nude with a teeny bit of pearl like shimmer.

 

Squeaker Of The House is a medium brown crème with a slight purple tone to it.

"Liv" In The Gray is one of the limited edition shades.  It's a greenish gray crème.

 

Shh... It's Top Secret! is a very, very dark (almost black) brown creme.  It's pretty much the exact color of semi-sweet chocolate and I love it!

 

Stay Off The Lawn!! is a dusty blue toned green crème.

Friday Funnies

Mary Kay Limited Edition Runway Bold Collection - Fall 2016

The Runway Bold collection by Mary Kay consists of 3 limited edition shades, two metallic shimmers and one crelly.  The formulas are all great!  I typicaly find that Mary Kay polishes are a bit thick, but that is not the case with this collection.  They nailed it! 

Gold Is Bold is a cool toned metallic gold shimmer.  I have a few gold polishes in my collection, but this one is gorgeous.  The application was buttery smooth and it has a beautiful bright metallic glow.

Rosy Encore is a rose gold metallic shimmer.  We know that rose gold is all the rage right now and what I love about this shade is that it is a true rose gold color.  Some shades can be a bit too coppery.  This one is right on the mark.

Blue Debut is an ink blue crelly.  It's darker in person than in the photo.  I love this one. Crelly and jelly formula polishes are my favorite. I love the squishy, shiney, look of them.  This one looks similar to gel polish on the nail.  LOVE!
