In Memory of my Mom

"I'm Not Really A Waitress" by OPI was my Mothers favorite nail polish color ever.  She wore it on her toes all the time!  Yet, she never really got the name right.  She would say, "I just love that color, you know, I'm really not a waitress."  I would giggle because she always switched the words around a bit, but I knew what color she was referring to and anyone who knows anything about nail polish would know it too.  It's a classic and so was she.  Today is the 7th anniversary of her death and I'm wearing this color in memory of her.

Cirque Burlesque Collection - My Picks

The Burlesque Collection by Cirque is a collection of 4 holographic shades released for the fall of 2014.  I selected 3 of the 4 shades.  The 4th shade (Harlow) is a gold/greenish holo.  I could tell right away that it would not suit my skin tone, so I didn't bother to pick it up.  Here are the ones that I did select.

Comparison - Zoya Sansa and OPI First Class Desires

This comparison is going to be short and sweet because there really is no comparison.  These colors are dead on dupes of each other.  Can you tell them apart?  I can't either.  Needless to say, if you have one of these shades you certainly do not need the other.

Comparison - Zoya Genevieve, China Glaze Out Like A Light and China Glaze Concrete Catwalk

I was curious to see how these colors would compare.  I thought they would be very close and they are, but none of them are exact dupes.  I applied Zoya Genevieve on my index and pinky, China Glaze Out Like A Light on the middle and China Glaze Concrete Catwalk on my ring finger.  The difference between them is pretty subtle.  Genevieve seems to have a very slight pearl like sheen to it.  Out Like A Light is the same shade as Genevieve, but it's a pure crème polish.  There is only a slight shade difference with Concrete Catwalk which is also a pure crème polish.  It's just a tiny bit lighter than the other two.  So, if you were curious about how these colors compare, now you know!  If you already own one, you probably don't need the others.  Save that polish allowance for other colors to enjoy!
